Esqidos New Gel Liner

Howdy Friends Its been awhile!!

I had to pop back in and share this amazing new product with you from Esqido. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have watched my Story giving a sneak peak of the new gel liners. (if you missed it you can catch it in the beauty highlights).

Keep scrolling for  review and pictures

Friday, Bert and I went to a local concert (sans kids) and I decided to put the eye liner to the ultimate test. If you’re familiar with MD summers you know they’re hot and muggy! So I’m happy to report that the liner stayed put through all the singing and dancing!

“just wing it. life, eyeliner, everything”

Overall, the liner applied very smooth, and once it sets, it’s pretty smudge proof. It does come off easily with makeup remover. I think my favorite thing about the new product is the built-in sharpener, so it’s always ready to go with a couple twists. Convenience is huge for me!

see my make up look below

Right now you can get these liners at special pricing!!! Click here for more info.

For this look I wanted some warm tones and a smokey liner. With this liner you have to work quickly because once it “dries” it pretty much stays in place. I applied a thin line of Esqidos black liner, and used my Sigma E21  brush to smudge it out on the upper lid. Then I applied a small amount on the lower lash line for a more defined look.

Esqido Lash review

If you ask me what my absolute favorite beauty product is (aside from lipstick) it’s lashes!!

Eye lashes can take any look from drab to fab! (ok that’s totally cheesy but it’s so true, take a look at my before and after below!)

If your lucky enough to have long, thick, curly lashes, I envy you! But if your like me, and 90% of the population you need them every now and then. I usually will wear lashes for special occasions, or date night. I just love the way it can change your whole look.

I’ve used many brands of false lashes and I must say I am very impressed with Esqido

First and foremost the lashes are mink, so they’re soft. Not hard like some other brands out there! So they don’t feel uncomfortable on the eye.

Another thing I was very impressed with was the lash glue. It dries clear and is easy to work with. I have extremely sensitive eyes and I found that the glue did not cause any irritation.

Oh and did I mention the packaging!? i know that isn’t a huge deal…but I’m all about aesthetic!

life is short , your lashes shouldn’t be

here’s my tips for application:

  • First things first, you have to pick a style. Esqiudo offers a quiz you can take to help you select the perfect pair!
  • Apply a tiny amount of mascara. Too much will make things look clumpy. I apply a small amount because I have super blonde lashes, so i do this
  • Curl your natural lashes! this will help everything blend together.
  • Gently remove lashes from the tray.
  • Hold the lash up to eye and trim off excess from the outer corner with a small scissor, if needed.
  • Apply a thin layer of lash glue to the base. (pay no mind to my nails, this mama is DUE for a mani)

  • Blow on the glue, and let it set for about 30 seconds
  • I like to use an eyelash tweezer to apply, but this can be tricky for beginners. using your fingers is absolutely fine!
  • Start at center of the eye holding the lashes upward.  In a downward motion getting the false lashes as close to your lash line as possible, press into the center gently. Then use your tweezers or fingers to press into inner and outer corners.

Remember practice makes perfect! Falsies can be tricky!! The more you do it the better you get!

Do you wear false lashes? If so, whats your favorite brand?

Ipsy Glam bag ~ March Review

march ipsy bag

I loved the colors of this months glam bag. AND the card that said “Happy Spring” made me smile. I am a fan of the winter, but I am SO ready for Spring. Warm weather + fresh, blooming flowers = happiness. The entire bag screamed “welcome” to the change of the season. Take a peak~

Luxie beauty- Rose Gold Short Shader Brush 223

As always I am always a fan of new brushes! This brush is great for applying eye shadows and doing a bit of blending. Because of the length it allows for a more precise application. A few bonuses to this brush is that it is cruelty free, and has an antibacterial coating.

Where to buy:

Marc Anthony- Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco 3 Day Smooth Perfect Blow Dry Cream

I always get excited to get any hair products in my glam bag. Since my hair naturally has a wave to it, it also carries a bit of frizz along with it. I try not to blow dry my hair often; usually once or twice a week. I found that even applying a bit of this product to my damp hair helped with the frizz even when not blow drying. When I used this with my blow outs it left my hair feeling very soft and happy.

where to buy:

ILLAMASQUA-Precision Ink in Abyss

Liquid eye liner is one of my favorite products! I was almost out of mine so its like Ipsy read my mind. This eye liner was easy to apply. The fine tip is great for applying a wing for a more dramatic look.

where to buy:

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics-Baked Bronzer in Heat Wave

This bronzer was very light weight and felt good on the skin. It has a slight shimmer to it which I love. However, too much can make your skin look very shiny. I decided to just apply this product on the apples of my cheeks which gave me a nice glow.

where to buy:

ModelCo-LIP LACQUER Lip Gloss in morocco

I loved this color. It was very shear with a slight nude tint. The application was very smooth. I have a small peeve when lip gloss is sticky, but this was not. I have worn this gloss every day since I got my bag! love it.

Ipsy Glam Bag ~ February Review

Februarys Ipsy bag arrived a day later than it normally does, most likely due to the weather. I didn’t love the design of this bag as much as January’s but it was still a fabulous glam bag! I was pretty satisfied with all the products I received. My pick this month was Smashbox’s Photo Finish Primer Oil.

Promise Organic~Ultra Moisturizing Argan Creme Facial LotionIMG_5363

This lotion mostly made of Olive Oil and Argan was super moisturizing to my dry skin. I usually use coconut oil as a moisturizer, but I’m always open to trying new products. I decided to mix this product with some sunscreen for the perfect daytime creme.

where to buy:

Paula Dorf~ Baby Eyes EnhancerIMG_5361

If you ever want to highlight your eyes, I highly recommend this product. Using a light colored eye pencil on the rim of your eye really helps to brighten your face. This product is made with vitamin E so it doesn’t dry the eyes.

where to buy:

Luxie Beauty~ Flat Definer Brush 221IMG_5362

Just like shoes, a girl can never have to many makeup brushes! I always get excited to receive these in my glam bags, because good brushes can be pricey. This brush was perfect for eye lining. The brush is   cruelty and paraben free

where to buy:

Smashbox Cosmetics~ Photo Finish Primer OilIMG_5359

I have always been a fan of Smashbox cosmetics. Especially their Photo finish products. So when I saw this Primer Oil I instantly knew we would be friends. Before applying foundation it’s always a good idea to use a primer. It helps to soften the skin and minimize the appearance of pores. The Primer Oil was very hydrating. It contains Jojoba and Chamomile which are very soothing to the skin. It also can be used on the ends of your hair! I love when products have multiple uses!

where to buy:

Chella~ Lipstick PencilIMG_5360

I have become a huge fan of lipstick pencils. They are usually extremely moisturizing and long-lasting. I loved the way the Chella pencil applied. Overall a good product, however I wasn’t a huge fan of the color with my complexion.

Ipsy Glam Bag

Every month, around the 10th, I check my mail with anticipation for my Ipsy bag. You cant miss the bright pink bubble wrapped package it arrives in. The Ipsy Glam Bag is a nice treat to yourself. It supplies you with all kinds of little goodies based onIpsy Package a profile that you fill out. The profile asks you about your hair color, complexion and eye color. It also asks about the kinds of products you use, and what style of makeup you like. Since over time that may change, your profile can always be updated.

Inside the bright pink package, is  a different little bag each month. They are so cute and fun! I can say the bags have come in so handy especially having a daughter in dance. I use them to carry her hair clips, combs and hair ties. I also have used the bags numerous times when taking trips to the park, or on vacation. They are the perfect go to bags for all the smaller necessities!ipsy bag

I always enjoy trying every product they send, and for the most part the products have all worked well for me. If you fall in love with one of the products and want to purchase it, you simply go to your Ipsy account and it will provide a link for you. The sizes of the products are usually travel sizes, but I actually haven’t had to buy facial cleanser or moisturizer in a few months since I get them so consistently. I enjoy the variety of products that come. Variety is also good for your skin and hair. Its good to mix up your products, just as long as you don’t overload on them. Based on my profile I usually receive lip, skin, nail, and hair products. But I also have received makeup brushes, fake eyelashes, and eyelash curlers.

I absolutely loved everything in my December Glam bag. I instantly was drawn to the bag, because it was bright red, my favorite color!

Some of the products in my December bag included:

Pacifica Power Of Love Natural Lipsticklip stick
in Nudie Red

I instantly feel in love with the color as soon as I applied it to my lips! Nudie Red has the perfect blend of natural tones so it wasn’t to overbearing.  It was long lasting and very moisturizing. It’s made with coconut oil, shea butter, and vitamin E. It’s also 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free.

Where to buy: $10.00

BeFine Exfoliating Cleanser (with Brown Sugar)exfoiliating cleanser

This was my favorite product from the bag. It was a very gentle exfoliation. I have extremely sensitive skin and it wasn’t irritating at all. It made my skin feel great.

Where to buy: $24.00

Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Shadow Primereye primer

This eye primer was very lightweight, and long lasting. If I wear eye shadow, its usually a more neutral shade, but this primer made my eye shadow pop! It definitely helps illuminate the color.

Where to buy:$20.00

RickyCare by Ricky’s NYC Classic 3D Blenderblender

I usually like to apply my makeup with a brush, but I really liked this blender. It is great for applying foundation, and contouring. It shapes to your face which makes application that much easier. Another perk is that it can be used wet or dry.

Where to Buy:$10.00

FORMULA X Nail Polish in Revved Upnail polish

This was a fun nail polish. The gold-ish color was very pretty and sparkly. Gold shades are perfect right now especially with New Years Eve just a couple days away. I noticed that the wear was better than that of your normal nail polish. I wash my hands a lot and normal polish chips only after a couple days, where this lasted longer. I also like that its free of Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates

Where to Buy: Sephora-$10.50
